We are defiant.

Our aim is to put Scimitars back on the road, raising visibility of the marque and to demonstrate that even the most lost of causes can defy the odds with some effort and be brought back from the brink.

Born out of adversity, our family SE5a of 40 years being written off in an unacceptable manner, and subsequently providing us Project #1 and the birth of ‘Defiant Reliants’. This is the beginning of a Scimitar project where common sense is parked for the project as a whole, whilst being applied liberally with each individual task to be done.

Reliant Scimitar cars make little financial sense to run, even less so if restoring them. The upkeep of Scimitars is not a profitable endeavour. We do not provide repair service for cars that are not our own. Our Scimitar projects are for our own personal development and challenge, not commercial gain.

We’ve no workshop, formal training or suitable storage space. All of which adds a logistical challenge. Our high-levels of enthusiasm are only matched by our low levels of funds and time. We do have over 40 years of Scimitar exposure and ownership as a grounding.

In returning Scimitar GTEs to the road, we’re not searching for perfection, we’re simply looking to defy the odds by completing the work we have started.
