Scimitars are a very British thing. Quirky, innovative and very individual, the Scimitar remains an oddly under valued car.
Launched in 1969, the Scimitar GTE changed the motoring World as the first 120mph four seater ‘sports grand tourer’. Designed by the eclectic designer Tom Karen, and built in England using a fibreglass body and Ford V6 running gear, and yes it’s from the same company that produced those funny three wheelers and other fibregalss bodies commercial vehicles.
A car that was a lifelong favourite of the Royal Household. Practical, stylish and a very rare site on British roads these days, the Scimitar GTE is a special car.
